Annual Land Rover Palm Beach International Gay Polo Tournament

It’s time for the 10th Annual Land Rover Palm Beach International Gay Polo Tournament, hosted by your local authorized Land Rover Florida dealership! Save the date for the 10th Annual Land Rover Palm Beach International Gay Polo Tournament:

• Who: Open to the public, sponsored by the Gay Polo League Land Rover Palm Beach
• Where: International Polo Club, 3667 120th Ave S, Wellington, FL 33414
• When: Saturday, April 6th, 2019
• What: A day filled with fast-paced polo matches complete with field side pints and fish and chips, along with a tailgate party.
• Tickets: General Admission starts at $30, visit the Gay Polo League website to select your ideal package.

About the Event

When did it start?

• The International Gay Polo Tournament was started in 2009, and while this is the third year that Land Rover Palm Beach is involved, this is the second time that we are the title sponsor.

Why did it start?

• The Gay Polo League started it as a way to fulfill their mission “to inspire and empower those individuals who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender via the promotion of and participation in the sport of Polo and other equestrian-related sports.” The GPL Polo Club welcomes everyone from the LGBTQ community and beyond to participate, compete and cheer in training, mainstream matches, and events.

Are there more events surrounding the tournament?

• Private VIP Party Thursday, April 4th

• Polotini Presents WIGSTOCK! Friday, April 5th: This year the event is a fundraiser for SAGE – a National Organization providing Advocacy and Services to LGBT Elders. Tickets are $125, and guests come in their best wig to enjoy a cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres and poolside atmosphere at a private residence.
• Brunch and 115th U.S. Open Polo Championship, Sunday, April 7th: Come to brunch and an open bar at the Mallet Grille at the International Polo Club, starting at 12pm. We will also be watching the U.S. Open Polo Championship, which starts at 3pm.
