To have everything transferred from your previous state of residence to Florida, you can visit our neighborhood DMV located at Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach; remember to bring the license from your former state since you have to surrender it to get your new Florida license.

No written or road testing is required, but you must pass the vision test. Be sure to have all the documentation needed to show proof of residency and identity. Your birth certificate and a valid, unexpired U.S. passport are the most common forms of identification.

How to Register Your Car in Florida

You have your new driver’s license, but you also need to get your Florida car registration within 10 days of establishing residency, becoming employed, or placing your children in public school. To complete your Florida car registration, you must:

• Attach the meta plate to the vehicle in the designed area
• Keep your registration certificate in the vehicle or carry it with you at all times
• Place your registration decal (sticker that’s provided on the registration certificate) in the upper right-hand corner of the license plate
• Pay all required Florida car registration fees

There’s a $225 Initial Registration Fee that must be paid when the owner doesn’t have a license plate or record of a license plate registered in their name, or if he/she wishes to transfer one to a newly-acquired vehicle. You also need to submit the following:
